Welcome to our CaringBridge site for our little fighter, Ryan Avery who was born on May 3, 2016 at 10:47pm. She was 1 lb 5 oz and 12 in long.

She developed a bilateral grade 4 brain bleed, was placed on phototherapy therapy for liver jaundice. She has been given many blood, platelet and fresh plasma transfusions and dealt with clotting issues. She was placed on a ventilator and given oxygen to help her breath because her lungs aren't fully developed. She had 2 seizures and also had low blood pressure issues. She was taken off of her feedings due to a bacteria infection and a possible perforated bowel. She receives IV nutrients because of this.

She now has good blood pressure and her blood has began to clot. She is no longer having seizures. She has swelling from all of the fluids that are given to her daily. Because there is NO perforation of the bowels, she doesn't need surgery and is beginning to make urine and stool. With her urinating, the swelling is going down in her little body.
