Ruth is a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and beloved friend. She is a talented musician, a naturalist, and a supporter of arts and literature. In September of 2017, Ruth was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and this has recently necessitated a move to Augusta, WI to be near family. We hope that this CaringBridge website will allow Ruth to remain connected with friends in Elkader and family around the country. Because her diagnosis is only one small piece of Ruth's rich and vibrant life, we will be sharing limited health updates.
