It is hard to know where to start...First, to the countless friends, family and neighbors who have been a constant support over the last few weeks we appreciate you! Thank you so much for the cards, flowers, gifts, meals, phone calls, house work, visits and prayers. Your support has been so critical during this difficult time.

The week after Easter Ruthe started to not feel well and eventually went to the emergency room for what she thought was a bad gallbladder. The doctor came in letting her know that a tumor was found on her Pancreas and she will need to undergo a Whipple surgery to remove the tumor with a part of her stomach, pancreas and her gallbladder. Ruthe has been recovering at Parker Adventist Hospital since April 24th and is making some good gains along with a few set backs. We are hoping she will be released soon! She has been diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer and is meeting with an oncologist soon to determine next steps.

Our family so dearly appreciates your prayers during this time. We ask that you pray with us that the doctors will know the best, most aggressive treatment plan possible to give Ruthe the best shot at being cancer free. Please keep Ruthe in your prayers in the coming months. While we are not sure what the future holds we know and trust who holds the future.
