Ron began experiencing mysterious challenges with his health in mid-August. Over the course of the next month, he saw multiple specialists and underwent comprehensive testing. Ultimately, Ron was diagnosed with CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease), a sporadic and fatal degenerative brain disorder that affects approximately 1 per 1,000,000 people each year.
