Welcome to our Caring Bridge site. We've created it to keep family, friends, and colleagues updated on Rich. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.
As many of you may know, Rich was recently diagnosed with Stage IV-B Liver Cancer in February, 2016. It has come as a shock to everyone. In addition, after testing and review by the cancer specialists at MCV and Johns Hopkins, no specific treatments or clinical trials are being recommended.
Rich is currently at home with his family and many visitors who have rallied to support him with their prayers and well wishes. He continues to maintain his sense of humor and appreciates the outpouring of caring, love and concern from all who have reached out to him.
Rich has had such a positive impact on so many during his life and career. He has served as a mentor and role model to countless students, colleagues, family and friends.
We will keep you updated as we continue to support Rich and his family through this challenging time. Use this site to let him know how he has enriched your life. And please feel free to leave your words of hope and encouragement here too.
