Roy was diagnosed July of 2020 with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis – more commonly known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease – is a disease in the nervous system that both weakens the muscles and impacts voluntary physical functions such as walking, talking, and even chewing.
If you have Amazon Prime there is a documentary called Gleason which documents NFL player Steve Gleason’s very personal videos of his journey with ALS!
I will warn you it’s very real and accurate and when I watched it I felt broken my heart just hurt! But it has really helped me better understand a glimpse of what my husband may be feeling or experiencing!
I need a place to share, cry, laugh, pray, about my life with Roy and living with ALS. I will share stories of us and our life from my perspective! I will share updates as they happen!
We are just trying to live one day at a time while putting all our trust into God and His love for us, it will be through Gods strength we get through each day!
