On Wednesday we were driving from our home in El Campo TX in route to Georgia to spend Christmas with Roxy's mom. As I drove on the freeway through Montgomery Alabama the GPS told me to exit onto a street. I also had my phone GPS and it was saying to do a uturn and go back. I looked at the GPS trying to decide which was the right route, then suddenly this 18 wheeler was either stopped or moving very slowly ,it was right in front of me. I had looked away for too long. We hit at about 45 to 50 miles an hour. Roxy was lying down sleeping on the back seat of our van. She was thrown up against the front seats. Ryan was sitting right behind me and is ok but very sore. ClaraBell was in the front passenger seat, we were buckled in and the airbags went off .The dash pinned her legs to the seat,it had to be pryed apart to get her out. She has a fractured leg, it's in a cast. I was pinned in by the dash and steering wheel. It took about 20 minutes to get me out. My left knee and ankle are sprained. Roxy was taken to the hospital and then airlifted to Birmingham. Roxy's sister Cherry and our daughter Kristy, who was staying at grandma's came and got Ryan and CB, about a 5 hour drive. The Faunsdale deacons took me to Birmingham to be with Roxy. My God my God !
