Rosemary was diagnosed with both breast and lung cancer in December of 2017. She completed treatment for both. In September, we started to notice some significant mobility and cognitive struggles. An MRI confirmed that the lung cancer had metastasized to the brain. She had a biopsy on September 24, and they removed the largest of 6 small tumors in the back of her brain. She had one BIG radiation treatment and started chemotherapy for this new fight. She became very week after her treatment and was admitted to the hospital on October 21. Because her immune system was so weak, she acquired several infections which became more than her body could cope with. After spending 15 days in the hospital, we made the decision to move her home and enter hospice care.
