In late July 2016, Ron was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer.  He had been having flu-like symptoms for awhile, but it was the leg  and chest pain (clotting problems in lungs & legs) and a mini-stroke (TIA) that caused us to find the underlying cause.  Yes, that “C” word hit us hard.  Ron had a port put in his upper chest and began chemo treatments on August 3rd.  I give him heparin (blood thinner) shots twice a day to fight his pulmonary emboli as well as the DVT in his legs. We pray the side effects of chemo will decrease to improve his quality of life. I am praying for a miracle to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary at Christmas and the September cruise to Alaska that our kids have planned. We have to take it one day at a time and Jesus will walk with us giving us strength and comfort. We  need your prayerful support in this difficult journey.
