You know him as Ron, we know him as a husband, father and now we know him in his newest role of Grandpa (Papa) Watton. Over the past year, Dad's bones, specifically his vertebrae have been weakened due to osteoporosis, which has resulted in him being much less mobile. At the same time, his lungs have been under attack of COPD and emphysema. Had he been more mobile, he may have been able to delay the effects of this lung disease, unfortunately, this was not the case and now, after multiple trips to the hospital, loss of muscle mass and body weight from immobility, loss of lung strength and capacity, and continued battles with pain due to the multiple spinal fractures, we have moved Dad home with the support and care of the Allina Hospice team. Now, although Dad is home with Hospice, we expect that his attitude and personality will keep him around to give us grief for a long time to come! :) Please keep comments positive and supportive as we pray for Springtime and family photos, just as Dad hopes for. We ask for your support and prayers during this time and we ask that if you'd like to contact Dad & Mom, you send a note/card to them at 4805 103rd Lane NE, Circle Pines, MN 55014. We also ask that if you have any photos of Dad & Mom, please feel free to post them to this page or send them to the address above. Thank you and God bless each of you as you make your way through your day and through your own very special story.
