Ron first noticed a lump in front of his right ear several months ago.  When he brought it to the attention of his primary physician he underwent three biopsies prior to being diagnosed.  Once diagnosed an appointment with an Oncologist was fairly immediate.

Introduction to Oncologist, Dr Sohug.  Great first impressions!  Doctor appears to be very caring with a good sense of humor, which are both pretty necessary when dealing with any medical issue. Ron went from that office to the lab (across the room) to give a whole lot of blood for a multitude of tests. Plus prescriptions and a list of "to-dos".

Ron's doing well and we're trying to figure out how we will keep all this information straight. He's been on the phone trying to coordinate appointments and figure out when to start medications. Mass confusion. Originally we were told the chemo would start on Tuesday. But, there were additional tests, consultations and a port that had to be installed to accommodate the IV.  Well, the chemo has been switched to Wednesday, January 18th.  Tomorrow Ron has appointments at 6:45 am for the PET scan, 10:00 am to check his heart out and 4:00 pm to insert his port. A couple appointments were conflicting, but they weren't. I think there was one from his primary that he'd already cancelled but forgot what it was for. UFDA. Two of the medications he will be taking have a side effect of irritability....if the medication doesn't do it these appointments will!
