Dearest Family and Friends, Welcome to our CaringBridge website for Ron. We are using this site to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your prayers, support, and words of encouragement. Thank you for visiting, please feel free to check back as Ron's journey continues. Our verse for 2017 – “This is my command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NLT) Our 'wherever' for this year includes Ron’s Stage IV Prostate cancer (more details in the 'journal' below). We think it was wonderfully ordained by God that we have been studying Jeff Bridges’ book "TRUSTING GOD – Even When Life Hurts" in our Life group. We are in need of these precious truths today more than ever. We are not going to lie… this hurts BUT our God will use it for our good and for His glory. We don’t know what that will look like but we trust in His sovereignty. Please pray for wisdom as we make decisions; please pray for a peace that passes understanding, please pray for our family: Ryan & Jennifer, Derrick & Rachel, Jared & Maria and especially our grandchildren Gavin, Caylie, & Eli and our bonus grandchildren Jack, Sam, Katie & Sarah. We are standing firm with the truth of His word and the power of prayer.

Since I started this letter we had an appointment with the oncologist. After a family meeting we are looking at this from 3 aspects. GOD – He’s in control, He can heal, We trust Him. US – We are moving to a healthier way of eating & exercising after reading “How not to Die” by Dr. Michael Greger DOCTORS – Follow our original Doctor’s recommendation but possibly get a second opinion.
