Welcome everyone, as you know, my Dad Ron, was diagnosed with bowel cancer in August.  My family and I will use this site to provide you with updates about how everything is going.  While a cancer diagnosis was not the kind of news anyone likes to receive, we are very happy we are back in Canada where he will receive the best possible treatment.  His prognosis is good and, other than the cancer, he is in such good health that he will be able endure the course of treatments.  Treatment begins October 31, which feels more like a trick than a treat, for 6 weeks of chemo and radiation, followed by a few weeks of recovery, then surgery and then a final round of chemo to blast away any last cancer cells.   We all appreciate the love and support we have received from friends all over the world!   So many of you have offered to help and asked how you can do so.   Right now we don't really know what we will need, but we will certainly let you know once we do.  Lottery tickets are always appreciated and at some point a ready made casserole will be greatly appreciated.  Stay tuned and thank you all so much.   Just as an FYI - any donations made on this sight do not come to us they go to the website as it is free (yay!) we are in no way advocating one way or another, I just wanted you to all be aware.
