Ron Ho

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting this site.  Ron has advanced prostate cancer that has spread to his lymphatic system and to his bones.  The treatment has been to use hormones to block his production of testosterone, which help the cancers to grow.  Currently this treatment is not working completely, insofar as the cancers are growing in his bones.

Ron has had a whole variety of tests and images and has been quite exhausted by all the visits to the hospital.
Ron is often very tired and he takes opiates to ease his pain.   We have started palliative care at the house.

Ron has great doctors, especially his oncologist, Dr. Anchetta, who is hopeful, caring and a great listener.  We like him very much.  Also, Ron has a great GP, Dr. Mayer, who is helping Ron navigate many of the results of scans and tests.

We also have several friends who have come with us to meetings with the doctors, including Dr. Ann Milam and Dr. Arthur Pasette.  They have helped to ask good questions and to write good notes.
