In July of 2016, Ron developed an ulcer like place on the right side of his tongue. Having had this same issue before he brushed it off as the same thing. When it kept getting worse, and medication didn't seem to help I insisted he go to the doctor. We were told he was biting his tongue in his sleep. Things progressed on and in August when things were no better. We went to an oral surgeon and that's when it all began. Please do not put off having your oral cancer screenings.  Ron has never used smokeless tobacco or smoked a day in his life so he was not your typical oral cancer patient. The rest is history. We hope you will keep us in your thoughts and prayers along this long journey to Recovery.
