Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

The Journey:
As most of you know, Mom was diagnosed with ALS or Leu Gehrigs in 9/2017. Overall she is doing very well! Of course there have been some adjustments in her daily living. She does get fatigued easily and has made adjustments to conserve her energy. Which is part of the reason I started this site. She loves to talk to you all but it does wear her out. She/we are learning a new normal❤️ She is the strongest, kindest, most caring woman I know! Her love for Jesus is unimaginable✝️ and she is a strong warrior sharing his Word! God, we thank you for blessing her to all of us! 🙌
I will never forget her response to Dr Garnaas the day she was diagnosed. Mom said “He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world.”
Right then she claimed that verse!

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So now with Dad, he was diagnosed with prostate and kidney cancer 4/2019. Because he is not a spring chicken, the doctor can’t fix both cancers at the same time.

So the best option was to receive an injection to block the testosterone, which is the fuel to the-prostate cancer. We will deal with the rest of the prostate cancer treatments later.

Now on to treat the mass in the kidney (99% sure it is cancer); best plan is to remove the mass.

After numerous Dr. visits and testing; dad is eligible for treatment.... Surgery

We pray that it is encapsulated in the kidney and that he only needs a partial kidney removal.
It is possible he will need the entire kidney removed.
Surgery is scheduled on June 3rd at Sanford, in Sioux Falls.

I will keep everyone updated throughout the journey. Mom and Dad are not to excited about this “sharing” but it is easier to update you all here.

Thank you all for your love and support!
All that we ask for are prayers.

❤️Misty, Kelly and Redge
