After a routine doctor visit, Rom's primary care provider ordered a CT scan of his abdomen on January 18, 2021 where a mass was incidentally discovered on his pancreas. Later confirmed Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Chemo began in February 2021 and has continued through a transition to disability and a move to Tennessee.
