On November 5, 2016 Roman suffered a concussion while playing with friends at our house. He tried jumping a hedge and fell on the side of his head against the street pavement. He had a constant headache and severe dizziness. After several tests it was found that Roman damaged his central vestibular system (which controls eye movement and balance) - this is not an inner ear problem, it is related to brain function. On January 26th, Roman fell down two steps and although he does not recall much from the fall, he felt much pain on his left shoulder and his headache and dizziness were now uncontrollable. The pain increased and debilitated his ability to walk over the course of 3 weeks... which led us to Cohen's Children's Hospital where he was admitted on Thursday, Feb. 9th. And so our road to recovery begins....
