Well to give you a little insight of what is going on with Dad please read along and then as we go through this journey I will update.  I feel this is a good way to keep everyone updated and you can check in at your convenience and stay on top of things with Dad's journey.

Back in November 2017 Dad started with a cough and some congestion and he just figured it was sinus issues which he has from time to time and after several days of not feeling well Mom took him to Main Street Urgent Care in Sylacauga and  they gave him some meds and a shot and sent him on his way.  Dad never got to feeling better so Mom ended up taking him to Chelsea Urgent Care and they gave him some stronger meds and more shots and he was sent on his way again. This time he got to feeling some better but still wasn't his best so after about a week Mom took him back to Chelsea Urgent Care and they did a chest xray and he had a small spot and they treated him for pneumonia and told him to come back in several days so they could check him and make sure the meds were doing what they needed it to do. You may ask why Urgent Care and not his primary doctor and that answer would be because it is easier to get in to see a doctor in the box and plus they still use their primary doctor in Thomasville and that was three hours away. Along with many folks was having sinus/cold/flu issues so really didn't think a whole lot about it at this time. Well Dad went back to Urgent Care for a check up and they repeated the chest xray and according to that doctor the spot was gone (in which it wasn't). Dad actually was feeling some better other than just couldn't rid the cough. We went down and had Thanksgiving with my wonderful in loves and things were great. Dad was still feeling somewhat better other than the cough was just hanging around. We got some snow ok maybe a good bit of snow and we have some cane poles as you entered the road we live on and the snow had caused them to fall into the road blocking the way in and out so Dad decided to go up and cut some down and after that he got worse. The cold air going down into his lungs caused the cough to worsen and shortness of breath to really set in. It was getting close to Christmas and he was just taking some meds and trying to get by and hoping it was just something hanging on for a while. January rolled around and the cough and feeling bad just wasn't going away so they went back to Chelsea Urgent Care and the doctor wanted to have a CT scan done on his chest to see if they could find a problem that the  chest xray just wasn't picking up. Well it snowed again and this caused some issues because the testing had to be put off due to travel issues with the roads. Finally the CT scan was done and FINALLY we got the results on January 30, 2018 and this is where the real journey started......
