Rick Rogers Rogers Strong

In 1985, Rick fought and BEAT cancer. He has spent the last 30+ years enjoying a cancer free life. In July of this year, Rick went to the doctor due to some discomfort in his side. A CT scan and blood work were unremarkable.  When the discomfort did not subside, Rick went back to the doctor.  This time testing showed Pancreatic cancer that had spread to his liver. Rick began his second battle with cancer on 11/26/2018.


After nearly four decades in public education, Rick retired in 2014.  He and Janet have spend the last four years enjoying fantastic experiences with each other along with their 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren.  They have traveled to a variety of destinations with both family and friends.


Our hope is that with Rick's positive attitude, healthy lifestyle, encouragement from family/friends. and top notch medical care that Rick and Janet can continue to enjoy the many gifts they have been given in life.


The intention behind this site is to give our family and friends near and far updates on Rick's progress, as well as a place to encourage him as beats cancer once again!
