Roger Neeser

Our Dad /Grandpa Roger Neeser was diagnosed with Stage 3 pancreatic cancer last October 2019.  He has been under the care of a wonderful Mayo Clinic oncologist team since then.  He started with twelve weeks of chemo therapy in November 2019.  He tolerated the infusions amazingly well with minimal side effects .  He maintained his energy , appetite and positive humorous attitude .  

Then at the end of May He started  eight weeks of daily radiation and oral chemo .  He was diligent in his treatments and did not complain even though family was not allowed to go with him due to Covid.  He finished treatment on July 14 and was told to have two months of fun before the next visit to Mayo which was to be September 21. 

Since that time Dad has had a lot of special activities starting with a kick off at 7Vines winery outdoors with some family, blueberry picking in Northern MN , a couple of fishing trips with buddies and the best was an all day fishing trip with his grandson Connor where they caught several large fish last Thursday. 

Unfortunately early Friday morning Dad had a stroke and was taken to the Perham hospital. Then they took him by ambulance to Sanford Medical in Fargo ND.  

Although being away from home is inconvenient the blessing is the Covid rules are less strict so two family members can be in the room at the same time 8:00 am to 8:00 And one can stay overnight in his room . This has been a great comfort for all of us .
