Hello Everyone,
For all of those who
may not know yet, Roger Maassen Sr. has been diagnosed with stage 4
prostate cancer that has spread throughout a majority of his body
including bones and lymph nodes.
Because the cancer has spread
so far, there is no real chance of killing it all and totally
eliminating it from his system. He will be going through hormone
treatments to stop the production of testosterone in his body which will
make the prostate go dormant and stop producing cancerous cells, and
chemotherapy to help stop the cancer from growing any further throughout
the rest of his body.
Roger is in a relatively healthy state with a good amount of muscle mass and energy, the goal is to use the treatments to maintain this state for as long as possible, which the doctors think we can do for quite a few years.
