Roger was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in December 2014. After initial rounds of chemo and radiation, Dr. Randy Crim removed about 18 inches of Roger's colon, leaving him with an iliostomy for about 6 months. In October 2015, the ostomy was reversed. In December and January Roger had multiple procedures for kidney stones. Finally, in spring 2016 a blood test was performed that suggested the cancer had returned. Doc thought it was because of snuff, decided to repeat the test in a month. After THAT test came back positive, a PET scan revealed the cancer had returned to his liver, lungs, and lymph nodes. Roger is now receiving chemo for his 2nd bout with cancer.
