Welcome to Roger's caring bridge website. We  want to keep all family and friends updated with how Roger is doing.
Roger has been dealing with some extremely itchy skin for the past few months -- and was diagnosed with Peripheral T-cell lymphoma  of extranodal and solid organ site this past July.  He has been taking some oral chemo medications to see if that will help with the itching, with minimal relief.
His recent PET scans also showed that the medication has not had a positive effect on the disease.

Roger has become progressively weaker, and has fallen several times -- the most recent fall occurring  at home on Nov. 26, 2018.
He has been " lucky" in that he has not had any broken bones but we are all concerned about his safety and ability to stay at home by himself.
Roger was admitted to the Sparta hospital on 11/26 --- and after discussing a plan of care with his care providers, it was decided that Roger will reside at the Morrow Memorial Home in Sparta -- at least for now.
Roger was transferred to the Morrow Home on 11/30 --- and is in room 222.

It is reassuring to Roger's family to know that he is in a safe environment where he will receive regular and nutritious meals, medications to help with his disease and symptoms, and work on gaining or maintaining his strength.  He has had some periods of confusion but he does know his family, and why this is a necessary move for him at this time.

We know that Roger would appreciate your prayers, cards and visits.
Thank you for your kind words and continued support.
