“God has this”
These words come to mind often as we begin this journey. On May 5, 2022, Rod had his yearly bloodwork drawn. Unexpectedly the clinic called and our doctor wanted a repeat done because of some abnormal results. Rod had been dealing with an infection in his hand and some sores under his arm for several weeks, so we thought these could be the reason for the changes. However that was not the case. Rod was then referred to a hematologist and after further testing, which included a bone marrow test, the diagnosis was AML-Acute Myeloid Leukemia with Monocytic Differentiation. We consulted with a specialist in Chicago after being given treatment options and with prayers, tears, and more prayer decided to begin infusion treatment, which is to begin on Monday June 27th in OSF Peoria. We are being carried by the prayers for we are weak. However we know that He has this and “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven:”
