In September of this year, Rocky was diagnosed with pneumonia. His scans showed a spine fracture, along with a mass on his lung , diagnosed with lung cancer.
In early October he had a MRI and PET scan, the scans showed his spine fracture was worse but the space between T8 and T9 was open. Fast forward to this past Sunday. Dad was experiencing severe back pain and needed assistance walking, by Monday he lost feeling in his legs and was sent to the local hospital via ambulance and was released home.  Wednesday we took him to UW Madison ER where he was admitted and had emergency surgery on Thursday.  His spine collapsed pinching nerves, they placed screws and rods.
 We now wait for his body to respond to this procedure and what oncology and radiology feel is his best option.
