Welcome to our CaringBridge website!  As you can imagine the well wishes and requests for updates can get a little overwhelming, so we've set up this site to help keep our friends and loved ones as up to date as we can on Robin's journey.   Thank you for your understanding and support in using this resource.  
As many of you know, Robin was diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoma at the beginning of the year and we have been on an emotional roller coaster ever since. Between March & April he has undergone 2 rounds of chemotherapy, each entailing a 5 day stay in the hospital.   Unfortunately those procedures did not have the desired result.  The tumor would shrink but then grow again.  The good news is that Robin's care is undertaken at a teaching hospital so they are not afraid to try new drugs.  While his clinician has a less than desirable bedside manner she makes up for it in intelligence and has gained our trust.  He will be starting today on a new drug that will be administered in an outpatient setting and will take 30-60 minutes.  This will be done every 3 weeks.  He will have it done 2 times and re-evaluation will take place.  If obtaining the desired results, he will then begin radiation.
Yes, this is very serious and we honestly at this point do not have an answer to the question everyone has.  What we do have is a ton of faith and trust in Robin's ability to watch his grand kids grow up :-)  We will update as we can.  In the meantime, please feel use this site to send notes to Robin and let him know you are thinking of him.
