Robin Gard

In March of 2017, Robin began to experience pain in her stomach/abdomen area.  A round of tests indicated an adenocarcinoma, a/k/a pancreatic cancer.  She went through chemo for many months, then surgery on Oct 30th, and the margins were clean and there was no indication of spreading.  For four weeks things looked very positive, then the pain returned.  Nearly a month in the hospital to see if the bowel obstruction that was causing the pain would resolve showed that it had no plans of doing so.  Exploratory surgery was scheduled and sadly indicated that the cancer was back and spread throughout her abdomen.  She is now home (to Helen's house in Mineral Bluff) and on hospice care.  This page will bring updates and information, and we are glad you are here.
