Since grandpa died on 3/23/17 my family has been devastated. We all miss him so much and are trying to process and cope with the traumatic end of his life, and his absence in our everyday lives. Not only that, but we are also now facing some impossible financial obstacles related to his passing and our care of grandpa.
The grief of losing a loved one is all too often compounded by the shock of large and unexpected expenses like funeral cost and medical bills. Not everyone has life insurance or savings put away to cover their own burial... Some simply can't afford it, while others think they have plenty of time to plan for it--both of which are true in our family over the past two years we have provided 24/7 care for our beloved grandfather.
