Robert was taken by ambulance on Friday October 14, 2016 to Fargo. Upon reaching the hospital they located a blood clot in his neck and saw that he had had a stroke. They were able to administer medication and get the clot broken up. By Friday evening he was sitting up eating and watching TV and by Saturday ready to go home. Sunday morning they released him from their care.
On Monday October 17th, he was in the bathroom getting ready to come to town when he had another stroke. Mary called for help right away and he was taken by ambulance to Fargo. Upon arriving he was fairly unresponsive. He was sent for a CT and they found that he had another stroke, this time the clot being in his brain. He went through a 2 hour surgery in which they administered the medication directly to the clot. The surgeon explained to us that the next 24 hours the medication would "do it's work".
