Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Bob was diagnosed with a very rare and very aggressive form of Cutaneous T Cell Lymphoma in May 2018. He is being followed by Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. He received 10 treatments of local radiation therapy to the site of his cancer. From July to December he endured an aggressive course of extremely high dosage chemotherapy (CHEOP.) In late December, just until Christmas, he was given daily full body radiation therapy at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was admitted to the transplantation unit of Dana Farber/Brigham in early  January. Bob received his life-giving stem cell transplant on January 18. 2019. He will be in isolation at home for about 100 days following the transplant. His donor is a kind and generous 35 year old man from Germany who has been informed that he is a match. We might never know his name. Bob's CTCL cancer was re-staged  and the cancer has returned. Now he is preparing for another round of radiation therapy under the direction of Dana Farber, but administered near our home.
