Bob was diagnosed with MDS which is a disease of the bone marrow and sometimes progresses to AML. Which is a type of leukemia. He is in Hospice Care, unfortunately the Chemo he was getting quit working in June. He has been in hospice since July. Has been showing significant signs of decline in the past 2 months. He still gets up a couple of times a day but falls asleep in his chair. Getting very weak and breathless in just getting to living room or to kitchen. Appetite is declining rapidly and is only up for 2 to 4 hours a day. His memory is bad also so he does not remember he has an incurable disease. He turned 81 on the 9th of Oct. He says he feels fortunate to have lived this long.
