It all started Nov. 1, 2017 early in the morning when dad stumbled and fell. He hit his face on the cement where his front tooth went through his upper lip. He was taken to UCSD Medical Center because of the head injury. While in the hospital, they took an X-ray of his shoulder which showed a mass in his right lung. After several procedures, it was confirmed to be cancer. Dad has a wonderful oncologist and is receiving immunotherapy infusions (no chemo) every 3 weeks. It's palliative care from here on out.
