Welcome to my CaringBridge website, Journey to Transplant. I found out while in hospital in December 2019 that I have Stage 5 Kidney Disease, ESRD. I struggled with this diagnosis for a chunk of 2020. I finally pulled my head out started dialysis in August of 2020, again while in hospital. I have been in dialysis three days a week, four hours a day as an outpatient since that time. It is keeping me alive and well. I decided I did not want to spend the rest of my life doing dialysis. Especially since I have a goal to live 101 years. Thus began my Journey to Transplant. I am using this site to keep my family and friends updated in one place.
