Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement in a time that we need it the most.  It's remarkable how a single moment can change the world you used to know.  For our family, that moment came on July 13th, 2016 in a doctor's office at the Mayo clinic.  "Bob I'm sorry,  you have multiple myeloma cancer."  Even if you know bad news might be coming,  you're never prepared for how it feels.  It takes your breath away, its gut wrenching, and overwhelmingly scary.   But quickly, you refocus.   You learn as much as you possibly can.  You pray to God with everything that you have for every cancer cell to be wiped out by his powerful hands.  You pray always for guidance to make the very best choices regarding care.  We had no control over this diagnosis,  this type of cancer just happens!  Life (with or without cancer) is about learning to let go of all that we can't control, and focusing on what we can control.  Our next step is preparing for the stem cell transplant, that will occur in the Spring. We know we will have to fight through some tough days to earn the best days of our lives.  One day at a time, one step at a time, we will do our very best and let God handle the rest.  Thank you for visiting.
