In late August, dad had a catastrophic stroke while visiting his beloved Northern Idaho. He was admitted to Sandpoint General Hospital, later transferred to Kootenai Hospital in Coeur d'Alene. The article below includes additional challenges due to COVID. Dad was transported by Medevac to Chicago and was admitted to Marionjoy Stroke Rehabilitation Hospital. On September 30, he moved to Oak Trace to continue his care in Downers Grove, IL. While he already wants to get "back to work", his physical progress has been limited at best.

Being in the Chicago area allows for many family members to visit with him. A shout out to all of the grandkids who have stepped up, as well as Ashley's in-laws, the Berkshires and his former caregiver, Irena. All have been so amazing.
