Welcome to Robert's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

In November of 2017 Robert was diagnosed with a very rare AML Leukemia Extramedullary cancer after the removal of a mass in his small intestine. In late December Robert began a very aggressive chemotherapy treatment at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia which resulted in him being hospitalized for 30 days due to  neutropenic reactions . A campaign to immediately find a Bone Marrow Donor was launched and a successful match was finally found in late  May of 2018. Currently Rob is in a good healthy state and beginning preconditioning stages for his transplant consisting of rounds of chemotherapy and a low dose  full body radiation. He will be expected to remain in hospital for @ 30 days during this stages and another 30 days in recovery at a nearby medical lodge due to Immuno Suppression conditions.
