To All our Beautiful Friends and Family,

We have received some sad news regarding Roberta’s health recently and wanted to share the details with all of you.  Roberta had been feeling bad for the last few months with some stomach issues, after running some tests to clear up the symptoms with her stomach, the Doctors found that our Dear Roberta has colon cancer.  The cancer has Metastasis throughout her body. (Non-curative)

For now, the stomach issues have cleared up and she is comfortable but the Doctors have explained to us that we must prepare for her condition to continue to progress.  Roberta, as we all know, is one of the Bravest and Toughest Souls that God has created, she decided that she will not be receiving any other treatment.  Roberta has certainly shown our family in the recent weeks…That this Illness will not define her—But--Her Strength and Courage Does

Roberta Continues to Teach, and We Will All Continue to Listen

Hospice is involved now and we believe mom likely suffered a stroke and has lost some mental progressing, awareness and short term memory.  Roberta is very comfortable and in no pain. She sleeps with a smile on her face.

What she has said is “she’s 81 years old and has had a very good life. And as she has said I’m making the right decision, I’m at peace”.

As of today, Roberta sleeps most of the time and it’s random when she’s awake.  That’s why we have decided to put together a list of those who want to visit and who want to call.  When she wakes we will tell Roberta and then she’ll decide who she’s able to speak with or see. Plus since folks have been bringing food over, we want to have a calendar so we don’t have any waste.  If this is something you want to help with send a text to 303.875.1903 (Craig) or 480.688.4708 (Neil) and we will sign you up.

We encourage you all to post your thoughts and well wishes to Roberta below.
