Robbie's journey started swiftly just before Christmas.  One day he was fine and the next...not so much.  He came down with a flu diagnosis and was admitted to Providence NE on Christmas Eve.  He quickly was diagnosed with pneumonia and transferred to Providence downtown.  His condition worsened as a staph infection took hold and his white blood cell count diminished.  He was placed on a ventilator, given antibiotics, and has been fighting in ICU ever since.
