In early April, Bob was admitted to the Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek after experiencing severe flu-like symptoms and dehydration. Over the next three weeks in the hospital, Bob's condition worsened until on April 30th he received a diagnosis of Acute myeloid leukemia (AML is a cancer that occurs in your blood and in the marrow of your bones). On May first he was transported to The James Cancer Center at Ohio State for treatment.
