Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Rita, Leo and Kay's southern snowbird adventure took a detour on Tuesday, February 12.  Rita went to the emergency room in Fort Mohave with severe abdominal pain.  The staff there quickly realized Rita's condition was serious.  Rita went by ambulance to Las Vegas, NV to receive the care she needed.  Rita was joined by Linda and Randy and Kay and Leo.  After 39.5 hours in the emergency room (but who's counting!), Rita went into surgery for a colectomy.  As we all know, Rita is a fighter.  She did great in surgery and has been continuing to recover in Las Vegas.

Surgery is a scary thing and Rita's people have been doing all they can to support her.  Prayers, well wishes, texts, and phone calls have all been flooding into Rita and the crew that is by her side.  As I mentioned, Linda and Randy joined the snow birds in NV.  Kay drove back to Fort Mohave.  Jenny and Abbey flew in.  Randy flew out.  Steve flew in.  Jenny and Abbey flew out.  Linda and Leo flew out.  Randy flew in.   The Razidlo' s know how to rally, and they love their people.

Updates have been shared via Facebook and text.  We hope putting all the info in one place will make it easy for folks to stay updated.  Some "real time" commentary from Facebook has been added below.  At this time, Rita is continuing to rehab, recover and gain back her strength - all of which is required for Rita to make the trip back to MN.  Rita is looking forward to being home (even if there is still some snow on the ground.....)
