Riese Kluver

Riese Madalyn was born on May 7th, 2003 at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria.  When she was 8 hours old it was determined that she had a severe heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrom and was airlifted to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis.

She spent her first 5 1/2 months of life in the PICU, and has been in and out of the hospital numerous times.  Riese has endured 6 heart surgeries and dozens of others and will eventually need a heart transplant.
