Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Lumpy, Ric's unwanted alien lifeform,  decided to take up residence on his left arm around Christmas.  Lumpy didn't hurt or itch or anything. He just sat there.   Lumpy started to invite his family and friends.  How dare he!

After about a week Ric decided he should have Lumpy looked at.  Four plus months and numerous tests later,  Lumpy was diagnosed as being a cutaneous t- cell lymphoma.  Rare, treatable,  and slow growing.  1 in a million.

Update:
Things have changed as more and more results come in. Ric has peripheral t-cell lymphoma (PTCL).  Lumpy is secondary.  Thank goodness Lumpy showed up when it did or we wouldn't be as far along as we are now. PTCL is rare and aggressive.  Treatment will be extremely difficult.

Another update 7/29/22
Ric's case is very challenging.  It seems like the more and more tests they do, the more complicated it gets. The lymph node that was biopsiesd is not showing any cancer cells but Lumpy is still being a pest. More tests.
