Welcome to our Caring Bridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. 11/2015 we were  excitedly planning our 3 week trip to mexico, tickets bought and hotel booked. Rick complained of left sided ear and throat aching. after seeing the Dr. and a few tests he was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma...base of his tongue and lymph gland. With the support of loving family and friends  through this new scary journey he'll make it ...we'll make it. heartfelt thanks for all the love you've shown.      Susan
