Rick Schafer, known in the houses of his wife and children as the man, the myth, the legend...Pop Pop!
Three years ago our he was diagnosed with very aggressive stage 4 prostate cancer. He has maintained a very happy lifestyle spending many days and nights with his wife, children and 6 (!) grandchildren!!! We have treated everyday as a blessing and we have been soaking up his wisdom, happiness and sheer joy of life. Over the past three years he has continued to be the rock of our families, immediate and extended, demonstrating his uncanny charm, humor and love for all.
He has been a teacher and a mentor not only to our families but to all those that he encounters. He continues his friendships and has stayed active on the golf course and traveling around the world with the love of his life...married 44 years on May 27th!
