Rick has been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome or MDS for short.  Otherwise known as pre-leukemia.  He must go every day to have his blood drawn and monitor his blood level.  Upon entering the Hospital in September his platelet count was 3.  Normal should be 12-14.  During his stay in the hospital he was given 6 pints of blood.  He started a 10 day regimen of Chemo.  They are eliminating his immune system in an effort to prep him for a stem cell transplant.  He is taking it one day at a time.  Unable to work to support his family, the stress is weighing heavy on him.  Please send prayers his way.  we will keep you updated on his health and future fundraising events.  Thank you.
