Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Dad has been living with his longtime girlfriend Sue, in Las Vegas since 2016. He started developing back pain and losing weight and muscle mass around 2018 and was diagnosed with ALS in June of 2020. Dad was hospitalized in July due to difficulties breathing and swallowing. Dad is currently in a transitional care facility. He had a trach and stomach feeding tube (PEG tube) placed and is currently on a ventilator.
