Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Rick was diagnosed on October 15, 2021 with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).  Although the news was devastating, we are beyond grateful to his diagnosing doctor and team of cancer doctors that were assembled swiftly.  Rick began Chemotherapy right away with his Oncologist in Appleton.  He also met with his Oncologist at Froedert Medical Center in Milwaukee to determine his best course of treatment to find a cure.
Four months later, Rick has completed 3 rounds of chemo successfully and is in remission ready to begin his next steps toward curing his AML. We are so grateful to his team of Medical professionals for developing the immunotherapy regimen that worked for Rick.
It wasn’t easy, but Rick’s positive outlook and mindset throughout this process were key components to him reaching remission so he can begin what will undoubtedly be his toughest days to come.
If you are here reading this post, it means that you know and care about Rick and  his journey.   He has touched many lives.  We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support that he has received and continues to receive from family and friends.
Gratefully yours,
Rick and Jen
