Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
As most of youknow, I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in September 2011.  I was also found to be BRCA 1 positive.  Up until now I had responded well to my chemotherapies of several types.  Recently though I have hit a rough patch and spent 2 weeks in the hospital getting a liver stint and struggling with pancreatitis.  It is literally "kicking my butt".  I am home now but the pancreatitis is still not resolved.  I am still very nauseous with stomach pain and I am going to the infusion center daily for fluids and medications for pain and nausea.  Chemotherapy is on hold until the pancreas and liver numbers are better.
I have decided to start this site as it is very hard to keep all my great friends updated, especially when not feeling well.  I hope you all understand that it takes too much effort to try to answer every text, call and email when I feel horrible.  I will try to update Caring Bridge with any changes in my status.
