Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Dad was officially diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma, ABC type, on October 1, 2018.  He had been having back pain and when imaging was performed, many enlarged lymph nodes were noted.  After more imaging, biopsies, and doctor visits, we now have the diagnosis and a plan.  Dad has already beat bladder cancer and skin cancer, so we are hopeful that he will beat this as well.  Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is one of the few cancers that has a cure, so that is encouraging .  His type, however, is a bit more difficult to treat, and is quite aggressive.  Regardless, he is a tough old German, and is in it to win it.  With my mom by his side, they are ready to battle.  My son Andrew and I, as well as my brother Greg, my sister-in-law Amy, my nephews Gus and Rudy, and my niece Heidi along with all of our friends and family are all standing ready to do whatever we can to help him.
